A little about me...
My name is Teresa Barron and I am a Dual-Immersion intervention teacher at Edwin Markham Elementary School. I have been in the Vacaville Unified School District for 13 years. All of my years of work have been as a Dual Immersion classroom teacher at Markham, with the last five of those being a part-time intervention teacher. I have been able to teach K-6 and have learned much from each grade level.
I chose to work in the Dual-immersion program because I enjoy being able to use my native language as a tool for teaching and learning. Growing up, I was an English Language Learner and I feel that my background and experiences allow me to better assist students whom like myself are learning a second language during their early academic years. I take pride in being a role model for students and knowing that I can instill in them the idea that they can become anything they choose to be.
I am also a wife to an amazing husband and mommy of two wonderful boys, whom I love endlessly! They are my constant motivation! Along with my husband, I strive to instill in them the importance of education, as well as, the importance of being a life long learner.
