I have to admit, that before beginning this Master’s program, I did not think I could make use of or incorporate Google Forms and other technology into my classroom, since I don’t really have a regular classroom. Yet, as I have been introduced to many things that I had not used before, I realize that there are many ways in which I could potentially use these in my groups.
I could make use of the google surveys to survey the classroom teachers whom my students come from in order to acquire more information about the students we share. I could also use Google Forms to create quizzes for my students to take. Flubaroo is an ad-on that could prove to be quite useful in grading these quizzes and saving me time in doing so. I could also survey my students (and teachers, as I already did) to collect data as to their preferences when it comes to reading and the reading curriculum we are utilizing during my guided reading groups. Google Forms can also be utilized for my Touro action research/capstone project. I can use it to create a lesson plan for guided reading, I am also thinking of creating a survey for the users, in order to gauge how useful and easy to navigate my website is. Linking the Google Forms I used during my research last semester, is also a possibility. I am still not completely clear as to what my end project will be, but I am sure that there are many more ways in which I will be able to incorporate Google Forms.

Google forms can definitely get addicting once you see how versatile and powerful they can be! A quick 3-5 minute survey with your students can save you hours of time and answer a lot of questions about how your students are understanding information and getting some valuable feedback from them. I look forward to seeing how you use it in your specific role at your school.

I am on the same page as you are, I didn't think I could use google forms in my classroom. However after using them last semester and finding add ons this semester has changed my mind. Yes you are completely correct you can survey with teachers about the students you share and can collaborate that way.

I am completely with you. I had seen many examples of teachers giving quizzes, etc. using Google Forms, but that didn't seem to apply to me. Having played with this tool this week, I am excited about the possibilities for collecting information from and about my students. (Now my next step is to play with Sheets to get good at working with that data.)

I completely agree with you. Joining this program has been an eye opener. I think using Google forms for an exit ticket might be useful for you too. Before the students leave you, have them use the form to see what they learned.

I think starting with surveys is a great idea. Google Forms are so incredibly versatile. I use them every day in at least one of my classes.
